Graded Responsibility

A microbiology attending is on service at all times 24/7 and available for consultation. Fellows will meet with attendings on a daily basis both to discuss microbiology issues and as a ongoing part of their training.  Fellows will develop increased competence and be given graded responsibility during the course of their fellowship.  They will be expected to function near an attending level by the end of their training.
